To you

Dusky purple hues dust over the sky

Sun slowly sinks, vanishing from the day,

Darkness falls, like soft velvet

A box full of darkness to share.

lovers meet hand in hand

Dancing to the moon on rain kissed streets,

Moonlight breaks though its cloudy mask

canopy of sparking speckles dance in the sky.

mouths smile gently capturing soft kisses

Secrets told to mouths not ears

Messages of love and desires,

they stroll enchanted with each other.

Toeards the stoney beach

Sea glistened mirroring the glittering sky,

Faint breeze bushes against the water

small ripples ruffle the stillness.

light wind took their love,

whispering into the horizon,

lightness of sky slowly rises upwards,

new light illuminating lovers drifting home.

Outside the window

From the noisy bustling office

warm, musty and dark

shards of bright light stream in

branch shadows dance on the desk

swirling, twisting, slowly then quickly

as I stare at the window

light fluffy clouds race by

they tease me to join them

the empty trees sway in the breeze

the world looks silent through the window

my mind wanders, to faraway places

to distant lands, to sun kissed oceans

my dreams take me away from my desk

to warmth, colour and squeals of delight

distant forests with chattering birds

floating lazily in downstream backwaters

hot sandy beaches and ice cold beer

a ring of the phone

I’m back in reality

gazing once more

outside the window

The words we cannot say

Water laps at the shore
Wind is just a gentle puff
Sun slow Rises in the sky
I climb the rock
Crouching, looking, feeling
Barnacles cling under my feet
Waster crashes against the rock
Spraying me with a hundred kisses
Wind blows and tangles my hair
Telling me it’s secrets
Sun shines on my face
Covering me with smiles
You are not here, yet you are close
I feel you in my thoughts, my ears, my lips
There are still things unspoken
Things are so hard to say
I can shout it to the crashing waves
I can whisper to the blowing wind
I can smile the words to the sun
Yet if you were here I’d hold your hand
Hold you close and smile
Those words my darling you know
We both find them so hard to say
One day my love one day.

A Christmas Wish List

A handful of Stardust,

Jewels from the sea,

A memory of moments

Time spent with you

Sunshine and Roses

Droplets of dew

Sand in my toes

A Dip in the Ocean

Shared with you

How can I ask for things I don’t need?

There is nothing I want

Except

A Smile on your face

Giggles and Laughs

Quiet gentle moments

Hands entwined

A kiss on the lips

A hug held tightly

Time spent with you

Autumnal lovers

Autumnal morning,

Lovers delight

Low rising sun

Just enough heat

A lover’s walk

In the morning dew

Dazzling jewels

adorning  cobwebs

Delicately strong

Soft lovers kiss

Blackberry sweet

Hands are cold

Entwined with yours

Warm once again

Whisper of a breeze

Rustle in the leaves

Of a love that will last

A smile, a giggle

Now words are spoken

None are needed

Just a lingering kiss

On an autumn morning

Made to last
