Wrapped beliefs

Crisp brown paper

Tied with string

Beautifully wrapped

Sitting, waiting

Inside a surprise

A secret waits.

Pulling the string,

It falls to the side

Delicately unwrapping

The paper to reveal

A box, closed tightly

With a clasp on the side

Opening slowly

Contents exposed

Full of beliefs

Empty to some

Each unique

In that we trust

Wrapped beliefs

We make our own.

Key to my heart

Today NapoWrimo’s prompt was a Landy, I must admit this was really hard, so I’ve had a go:-

heaven

I once told the world the secret to open my heart

It meant that you would have to be smart

.

I wrote a poem riddled with clues for you to find

Unravelled with an unconscious mind

.

But the key is still hidden covered in cobwebs now

The box is locked, this is my vow

.

That one day the key to my heart box will be solved

Finally true love will be resolved.

Joined the Matrix

I’ve gone and done it,

I can’t believe it,

Have I become a sheep?

I’ve joined the Matrix

I bought an iphone,

joined the apple club

part of the Mac union

I’m now in the Matrix

Its white and shiny

Still in its box

I’m not quite sure what to do

I am sure someone will help me

I’m not really a sheep,

I’m not really in the club

I am part of the group

I know I’m in the Matrix

I just love these words

Inside this Lazarus jewel box

Lies the key to my heart

The box lid is tight as a snout otter clam

To open it there is a secret key

Under the Peruvian hat lies a strawberry top

Which sits on top of a shoulderblade sea cat

Inside the woody canoebubble

There is a Ghastly Miter

Here is the key to the jewel box

Inside you need to make a choice

IS it Tricolor Niso or Triangular Nutmeg

If you can work it out, my heart will be open.
