Warm breeze gently blows
Sunlight catching brilliant green hills
Over head dark black clouds loom
Turquoise is the lagoon
Soft pebbles lead the way
To the warm water lapping
Rain dances above my head
Falling gently onto hot sand
Laying in the heat
Sunbathing in the rain
A soft kiss placed gently
Is sealed perfection.
Todays Napowrimo prompt was ‘An aubade is a morning love song’ 
I have missed my lovers face, as darkness hid him through the night
Now dawn breaks, shards of morning sun
Dances with the breeze on my lovers face
I gaze at him, as he sleeps soundly, His tender face, rested, calm
.
Wanting to kiss him awake to see the glorious day ahead
Birds sing their morning glory, I want him to wake
Share the sun, the birds and the flowers dancing in the breeze
Creeping from the room, I turn to watch him
.
Just for a moment blissfully unaware that the night has gone
I make the coffee, the richness fills my head
I know as he lies sleeping, the sun caresses his face
A gentle kiss on his lips , he opens his eyes slowly and smiles
.
There is the brightness of the day
The warmth of the morning sun
The song of the birds, the breeze in our face
and the day of happiness lies ahead.
