Finding a way

Patience, I wait for your call

Your text, your rant

I draw breath and smile

The words flow gently

Regardless of your anger

Kindness, I give this willingly to you

Despite the fact you hate

They are just words

The kinder I am to you

The less hatred you show.

Silence, time for you to speak

I will listen, hear and understand

Your words are important to me

The more you speak, the quieter I am

The calmer you become

Love, I give to you in abundance

Through smiles, kind words and patience

You don’t see the love yet,

You take it all from me

In time you will return it

You are difficult to me, to yourself

Your anger is portrayed in speech and actions

In time, it dissipates,

In time you hear me again

In time you will find your way

Back to the beginning

Patio was laid wonky

Non-matching slabs

Years waited

To stand not in mud

Patiently asking

A solution found

Materials gathered

A hole dug out

The rain came down

In torrents, fast

Now I’m back to the beginning

No patio here

A hole in the ground

Filled with muddy water

And patience is my best friend.

The Hanged Man

Today’s Napowrimo prompt was to pick a card and write a poem. So I shuffled my Tarot cards and drew

The Hanged Man.

the hanged man

This tarot card I have chosen

You hang upside down

You hang from one leg

How tiring it must be

.

Unable to help yourself

Stuck, waiting, dangling in time

Will the problem ever pass

The one you have no energy for

.

You meditate, eyes staring, suspended

Discovering the resolution

Patience, wisdom and optimism

You are free once again.

patience of a spider

Suspended from the ceiling

motionless

you look like a statue

Frozen

transfixed by your stillness

Spellbound

Without warning you drop

Swifly

Your delicate invisible strand

Smoothly

your long legs are still

gliding

you reach your target

Pausing

I watch, wait, wonder

Patience

I will apply the same

Composure

You are always a beautiful

facination
