Read your words.

Today’s poem is a little more challenging, the prompt from napowrimo today was use social media quotes from friends and followers.  So I have

words.

A story a day challenge

Bubble trouble

Nothing beats some free time to relax

Unexpected Twists,

visually rich writing style, The Devil Came looking.

I’m back in the game,

a little follow up to the sea moving poem

I put my soul into superhighway,

I believe the whole world will read it

What is the secret of happiness?

Discuss. It can’t be that difficult

Procaffeinating

The tendency not to start anything.

Until you’ve had a cup of coffee.

You can just come into someone’s life

and make them feel special

Today is the day that will never come again

So make it a good one.

Natural Wonders of the World

sea sky

.

Natural wonders of the world

With your iridescent shine

Where can we find you

In the sea, sky or earth?

Are you abalone, blue as the sea?

Or conch pink and rare

Keshi, the Chinese reborn

Mikimolo and Quahog

Your names are unpronounceable

You have elegance and Lustre

You are all a mystery

What are you Tahitian of purity?

peace to my ears

waves

.

Green grey sea crashes forcefully

Booming waves land on the pebble beach

Fine spray shooting upwards the rocks,

Landing on the top, showering the limpets

.

Dark rock pools swell and rise

With swirling sea and small white crests.

Soft powder blue sky and tiny wispy clouds

Broken up by Vapour trails crisscrossing

.

Bright yellow sun beats down,

Glistening wet pebbles at the water edge

Heat of the sun warms the spring air,

An icy nip brushes against my face

.

Seagulls soaring on the warm breeze,

Gracefully across the pale blue sky

A small boat, bobs up and down gently,

Looking closely it thrashes around,

.

Smashing into the greying waves,

Fine spray flies upwards

Wind whips becoming stronger, harder, faster

Waves move in strongly,

.

The forceful wind, the waves crashing,

he seagulls screaching is peace to my ears

As I lose myself in my own thoughts

In the spring sun on the beach.

Hope

Today the prompt came from “Hope” is the thing with feathers – (314) BY EMILY DICKINSON  It was asked that we added words, took out punctuation and made it our own.  So here is my attempt.

stormy sea

Hope is the creature with plumage,

It balances within the soul

He sings the wordless harmony,

Increasingly, his sweet voice rises

As the storm increases, I listen more

As the tempest becomes painful,

The little birds does sing with such enthusiasm

He continually keeps a glow

And in the coldest extremes,

On the strongest sea

Yet never in his wildest dreams

Did he ever ask anything of me?

Chasing a space

Glorious weather

spend it outside

chasing a space

not easy to find

the sea is too far

the town too busy

i’m chasing a space

to loose myself

i just want some water

with greenery around

birds in the trees

the promise of spring

next week

when the weather is fine

I’ll be chasing a space

it will be the sea

to get lost in to ocean

soak up the rays

Change is swift

Brilliant blue skies

intense searing sun

white fluff clouds

Rhythmic calm sea

wind blows gentley

I close my eyes

peace all around

Ominous dark skies

heavy black clouds

The air is stiffling

heat is almost suffocating

Gun grey sea

Crashes with force

Large rain drops fall

intense heavy bursts

no peace now

The wind blows quickly in

and out just as fast

calming down again

dark clouds have moved

the sky is a brilliant blue again

the sun shines intensely

the sapphire sea is calm

a gentle roll of the wabes

peace is regained
