Half moon

I saw the moon, I thought of you

This half moon shining brightly

Do you see the same moon I see?

Is yours as bright as mine?

This half moon I see,

It radiates happiness

From my side it is so bright

It captures my thoughts

It shares them with the stars

They twinkle brightly

We search for the stars we know

Stories unfold, memories shared

As the dark sky fills with tiny lights

So even when you’re not with me

And when the clouds are dark

The moon is always there

Waiting for the moment

To share its light once more

So you can see the moon

Is it look the same as mine?

If I painted a picture

If I painted a picture

What would you see?

A bright moon shining

In a blue velvet sky

Glistening in the dark sea

.

If I painted a picture

What would you see?

Warm breeze running through

My sun kissed hair

Ruffling it up

.

If I painted a picture

What would you see?

My smile laughing

As you joke and laugh

Making me happy

.

If I painted a picture

What would you see?

Bright blue skies

Turquoise lagoon

Water lapping at our feet

.

If you painted a picture

What would I see?

You smiling back at me

You laughing, your happiness

You being you, me being me

touch with your eyes

art

Beauty lies within each stroke

each line a definition

vibrant colours combined

softer colours mellow

lines stretch at angles

seeing through the cover

What i see is not what you see

What you have created you love

shows your feeling, your freedom

your energy flow

I look to see what you are showing me

what you are feeling, i embrace

Can i live your life

be what you are?

I cant touch this, kiss this, hold this

I can only touch your work

with my eyes

Stars Apart

Sky, black deep beckoning

Brightness of stars

Shine out at me

Can you see what I see

I wonder if they are the same

Do they shine brightly?

Can you feel their wonder?

Can you name them?

If we stood gazing at the stars

Would it be peaceful

Would we be as one?

As we are apart

I see my part of the sky

And where you are

Its different

I wonder what can you see

I hope it is as beautiful as my sky

I can’t see the wind

The curtains sway in the light breeze

It brushes against my face like a hundred butterfly kisses

It’s gentleness can hardly be seen or heard

Dark skies are building there is change to come

The curtains dance almost out of control

The wind has blown in from the east

I can hear it roaring around the trees

It’s strength builds and gains momentum

I can see the devastation that it has caused

The leaves stripped from their branches

The branches ripped from their trunks

It’s wildness bending trees to the ground

I can feel its harshness against my skin

It’s makes my eyes stream with water

It takes my breath away as rushes at my face

It’s almost pushes me off my feet

I can’t see the wind just what its doing

It will blow out as quickly as it blew in

It’s invigorating, wildly tussling my hair

It makes me feel wonderful to be alive

The question poem

Have you heard that croak in my throat?

Do you know what it is?

Can you make it go away?

Did you know the more I talk the worse it is?

Is this a frog in my throat that is croaking?

Do you know it is a frog?

Can you see if you look?

There isn’t a frog is there?

Can you see anything else?

You cant can you?

If it isn’t a frog what is it?

Can you see the croak?

Can you hear the croak?

When will it go away?

You don’t have a clue do you?

Do I have to wait for it to go away?

I shall be mighty glad when that frog and his croak have gone.
