Daisy oh daisy

Green clings to the gourd
Sun shines down on the green
Tiny balls burst upwards
Delicate white petals
Slowly unfold
Quiet is the sir
Warm is the sun
Green balls slowly unfold
Delicate white petals uncurl
Opening gently
Encircling bright yellow head
Softly the nod in the breeze
Warm is the air
Bright is the sun
The daisy reminds us
Summer has sprung

Kokumi

Icy winds blow forcefully

Rain drives drenching me

Cold to the bone

Searching for warmth

This summer it is not

More like winter in June

Much needed comfort

To bring a smile again

Kokumi created

In a hearty stew

No salad today

Just warm, heartiness

Delicious mouthfullness

Of winter, in June

Just once, Just today

I want to stay where its warm and safe

Under the duvet

in my own home

Just once, just today

I want to smile a real smile

not a false one

which hides how I feel

I want to go to work

without the moaning and whinging

If I offer my help

I don’t want it ignored

Just once I want you to

accept the help, stop your moaning

and be happy

Just once, just today lets really smile

After all , we are at work all day

Autumnal August

Fierce hot sun is now a warm glow

Brilliant blue skies turns into baby blue

Harsh hard light, is now soft to the face

Warm summer air, now has a nip to its touch

Cobnuts are heavy, pulling branches down

Hundreds of Blackberries all pumped up and lush

A glut of Rose hips adorn the bushes

There is a feast ahead for us all.

Summer feels as its coming to an end

August great heat has disappeared

Autumn has come early, or at least that’s how it feels

The seasons are moving, away from the norm
