Ohh for a full nights sleep

Its dark outside

The bed is made

There are teddies all over the place

We’ve read all the books

Exhausted ourselves

Now it’s time for bed

We’ve sung lots of songs

Hummed lullaby’s

And still there’s chattering voices.

The night light is on

It’s time to sleep

And then a yawn is heard

The bedroom goes quiet

Two girls are asleep

Hooray we can go to bed

And then the mutiny starts

The howling the crying

The getting out of bed

there’s no peace in our house

Nothing is quiet

The noises are loud

There’s jumping from the bed

Then it stops, quiet at last

We sleep and then the alarm clock starts

We’ve been very patient

But two girls get up

Chatty and full of life

And Grandad and I

With bags under our eyes

Just want a full nights sleep

To you

Dusky purple hues dust over the sky

Sun slowly sinks, vanishing from the day,

Darkness falls, like soft velvet

A box full of darkness to share.

lovers meet hand in hand

Dancing to the moon on rain kissed streets,

Moonlight breaks though its cloudy mask

canopy of sparking speckles dance in the sky.

mouths smile gently capturing soft kisses

Secrets told to mouths not ears

Messages of love and desires,

they stroll enchanted with each other.

Toeards the stoney beach

Sea glistened mirroring the glittering sky,

Faint breeze bushes against the water

small ripples ruffle the stillness.

light wind took their love,

whispering into the horizon,

lightness of sky slowly rises upwards,

new light illuminating lovers drifting home.

Unknown destination

half way there

unsure where

A weekend treat

destination unknown

journey is crawling along

past fields of brilliant yellow

familiar place names pass by

sun shines over rolling hills

still the destination is secret

fields of lambs jumping  dancing

pretty villages with sandstone houses

cathedral pokes his head up high

passing canals and rivers

as the car slows down

sat nav says the journey ended

destination known

Wasps eating rhubarb leaves

As I looked upon my rhubarb leaves

There were tiny holes made by little thieves

I searched and found upon the stalk

A little insect having a walk

A wasp I saw black and yellow

What are you doing little fellow

you usually like the mint and fennel

which is much sweeter and gentle

But no, your chewing the stalk so pink

are you sucking the sugary drink

So you are my little thieves

wasps eating my rhubarb leaves

Time

Everything is rushing towards me

nothing wants to stand still

there’s mess in every room of the house

i just don’t know where to start

the clock is ticking quickly

the Calender flapping fast

time is running away from me

i take a breath and look around

i just need a starting point

pick up the muddle and throw it away

Empty the cupboard and fill up the hall

nowhere to move, nowhere to hide

make a decision there’s no much time

what is time where does it go?

the days are speeding along

Time is running away from me

The month has all but disappeared

the house is almost done

the minutes are moving quickly now

lifes journey continually changes

the waiting time has arrived

the past is the present, the present the future yet

time is running away from me

7 ways to see the skies

Day 6

Dawn morning, light pink

Golden rays slowly rise

casting sunbeams in every direction

Crystal clear, brightest blue

Vastness surrounds

Whispers of clouds linger

Racing clouds, blown along

White to darkest grey

Raindrops fall heavily

Millions of eyes look upwards

Each sees a different shade

Each a different sky

Blue hour, quality light

Red passes into space

Twilight has arrived

Night sky , black as ravens

Evelopes earth in darkness

Crescent moon shines brightly

Galxues of stars light the sky

Aspirations and wishes made

Gaze at stars as they stare back
