30 poems in 30 days. It’s been along time since I managed to complete NaPoWrimo. I wanted to prove to myself I could still write poems, have faith that I would manage one a day for a month. Have the strength to realise I still mattered in the writing world. Thank you for those who spend time reading them. I am most grateful. So here is number 30.
Endings and beginnings
Poem month is almost over,
the colours of spring fading
like whispers of warmth,
leaving echoes in my heart.
My emotions run high,
each verse is a longing,
as petals drop from heavy branches,
the cycle of beginnings and endings intertwining.
In the air, a breath hold tight,
the scent of change lingering,
while laughter and tears collide
in this fragile moment,
as nature sighs,
and I chase the last light, to new beginnings.
